I am an experienced independent midwife, as well as a mother of four, with a particular interest in postnatal care.
Understandably most women find they focus strongly on the labour and birth of their baby, while the postnatal period is often overlooked by everybody. Yet these early days can be a huge shock to most couples as they grapple with lack of sleep, anxiety, uncertainty and often conflicting advice.
Reliable, consistent midwifery care can make a huge difference and help you to enjoy these early days. I am available 24/7 by phone, visit on a daily basis for the first five days and then at intervals for two weeks or six weeks. Each visit is unhurried, allowing you time to discuss worries or concerns. All medical checks are carried out on you and your baby on a regular basis. I am extremely experienced in breastfeeding support. More than 95% of my clients are still breastfeeding successfully at six weeks post natal and I can help you and your baby to feel at ease with feeding.
Most importantly I am there for you - to listen and help you solve your problems while you adapt to your new life as a mother.
